Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel speed sensor having a novel structure which improves product accuracy by preventing displacement of a holder in a molding die of a cover part and allows satisfactory connection workability to be ensured between a lead part of a rotation detecting element and an output electric wire.SOLUTION: A holder 24 includes a pair of lead terminal holding parts 44 and 44 holding a pair of lead terminals 28 and 28 in a parallel state, a pair of first support pin insertion holes 52 and 52, and a pair of second support pin insertion holes 68 and 68. Width dimensions of the holder 24 in formation parts of the first support pin insertion holes 52 and those in formation parts of the second support pin insertion holes 68 are set to be equal to each other, and width dimensions of the holder 24 in formation parts of the lead terminal holding parts 44 are made smaller than those in formation parts of the first and second support pin insertion holes 52 and 68 to form a pair of recesses 72 and 72 on both sides in a breadthwise direction of the pair of lead terminal holding parts 44 and 44 of the holder 24. 【課題】カバー部の成形金型内でのホルダーの位置ずれを防止して製品精度の向上を図ると共に、回転検出素子のリード部と出力電線の良好な接続作業性をも確保することができる、新規な構造の車輪速センサを提供すること。【解決手段】ホルダー24が、一対のリード端子28,28を並列状態で保持する一対のリード端子保持部44,44と、一対の第1支持ピン挿入穴52,52と、一対の第2支持ピン挿入穴68,68とを有している一方、第1支持ピン挿入穴52と第2支持ピン挿入穴68の形成部位におけるホルダー24の幅寸法が同じに設定されている一方、リード端子保持部44の形成部位におけるホルダー24の幅寸法が、第1および第2支持ピン挿入穴52,68の形成部位におけるホルダー24の幅寸法よりも小さくされることでホルダー24の一対のリード端子保持部44,44の幅方向両側に一対の凹所72,72が形成されているようにした。【選択図】図3
