PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-free screw compressor in which a shaft seal device has superior assemblability and leakage of compressed gas from the shaft seal device can be reduced.SOLUTION: The oil-free screw compressor is provided in which: a pair of male and female screw rotors 16 meshed with each other are housed in a rotor chamber 15 of a compressor casing 12; the screw rotors are supported by a bearing 22 through a rotor shaft 21; and shaft seal devices 30, 40 is provided which are arranged in a shaft seal space 10 of a casing formed between a rotor chamber and the bearing and which seal the rotor shaft. The shaft seal devices comprise an oil seal 31 arranged at the bearing side, a packing case 41 arranged at the rotor chamber side, and a gas seal 42 for sealing against gas, and a seal ring is housed in a gas seal housing space 48 formed by fitting and fixing of the bearing-side end part 44 of the packing case and the rotor chamber-side end part 33 of the oil seal through close fit. 【課題】軸封装置の組み付け性が良好であり、軸封装置から圧縮ガスの漏洩を低減することができる、オイルフリースクリュ圧縮機を提供する。【解決手段】互いに噛み合う雄雌一対のスクリュロータ１６を圧縮機のケーシング１２のロータ室１５内に収容し、ロータ軸２１を介してスクリュロータを軸受２２で支持し、ロータ室と軸受との間に形成されるケーシングの軸封空間１０に配設され、ロータ軸をシールする軸封装置３０，４０を有するオイルフリースクリュ圧縮機において、軸封装置は、軸受側に配置されるオイルシール３１と、ロータ室側に配置されるパッキンケース４１と、ガスをシールするためのガスシール４２と、を備え、パッキンケースの軸受側の端部４４とオイルシールのロータ室側の端部３３とが締まりばめによって嵌合固定されることによって形成されたガスシール収容空間４８に、シールリングが収容される。【選択図】図２
