Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of selectively wiping a nozzle surface of an ink jet head at a high speed and with a simple and small-sized configuration.SOLUTION: A wiper device of a printer is provided with four wiper units 50 arranged in a line. Sequence operation of a forward path for sequentially moving the four wiper units 50 to one side of an arrangement direction is performed when a driving shaft 61 rotates in a first rotation direction CCW on the basis of rotation of a wiper motor 46. Further, sequence operation of a return path for sequentially moving the four wiper units 50 to the other side of the arrangement direction is performed when the driving shaft 61 rotates in a second rotation direction CW. Each wiper unit 50 is provided with a first intermittent gear 51A and a second intermittent gear 51B. Operation of each wiper cleaner lever 53 and operation of each wiper 57 are performed by each first intermittent gear 51A and each second intermittent gear 51B being sequentially switched from idling states to engaged states with first and second driving gears 64A and 64B. 【課題】インクジェットヘッドのノズル面を高速で簡素で小型な構成によって選択的にワイピングできるワイパー装置を提供する。【解決手段】プリンターのワイパー装置は、一列に配列された4つのワイパーユニット50を備える。ワイパーモーター46の回転に基づき、駆動軸61が第1回転方向CCWに回転すると、4つのワイパーユニット50を配列方向の一方側に順次動かす往路のシーケンス動作が行われる。また、駆動軸61が第2回転方向CWに回転すると、4つのワイパーユニット50を配列方向の他方側に順次動かす復路のシーケンス動作が行われる。各ワイパーユニット50は、第1間欠ギヤ51Aおよび第2間欠ギヤ51Bを備え、これらが順次空転状態から第1、第2駆動ギヤ64A、64Bと噛み合う状態に切り換わることで、ワイパークリーナーレバー53の動作とワイパー57の動作を行う。【選択図】図7
