Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for relatively determining a deterioration degree of a teat cup liner by easily measuring deterioration in the teat cup liner, especially, circumferential deformation of a trunk part (a bore part) with time without using a complicated device.SOLUTION: The method for determining deterioration in a teat cup liner includes: bringing a measuring tool 2 into contact with a nipple insertion port Mi of a teat cup liner M to make a teat cup unit T into a milking state; measuring a smashing velocity R of the measuring tool 2 in a massage period of the teat cup liner M; and determining a deterioration degree of the teat cup liner M. 【課題】複雑な装置を使用せずに、ティートカップライナーの劣化、特に胴部（ボア部）の周方向の経時的変形を簡単に測定し、ティートカップライナーの劣化度合いを相対的に判定できるようにする方法を提供すること。【解決手段】ティートカップライナーＭの乳頭挿入口Ｍｉに測定具２を当接させてティートカップユニットＴを搾乳状態にして、前記ティートカップライナーＭのマッサージ期における前記測定具２の潰れる流速Ｒを測定することにより前記ティートカップライナーＭの劣化度合いを判定する。【選択図】図４
