PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic sonar device capable of clearly informing a user of a current detection target direction.SOLUTION: A transmission direction display image in which, when a transmission direction (a scan angle) of an ultrasonic beam TB transmitted from a real marine vessel 11 is changed, a transmission direction image 158 changes in accordance with the change is displayed on a display device 15 together with a detection image. The transmission direction display image displays, other than the transmission direction image 158 indicating the transmission direction of the ultrasonic beam TB in a schematic manner, an image which indicates a marine vessel 150, a water surface 151 on which the marine vessel 150 floats, a bottom 153 regarded as a sea bottom or lake bottom, and an underwater part 152 sandwiched between the water surface 151 and the bottom 153 in an aerially-viewed and schematic manner. 【課題】現在探知の対象となっている方向を使用者に分かりやすく伝えることができる超音波ソナー装置を提供すること【解決手段】実際の船舶１１から送信される超音波ビームＴＢの送信方向（スキャン角）を変化させると、その変化に応じて送信方向画１５８が変化する送信方向表示画像を探知画像とあわせて表示装置１５に表示する。送信方向表示画像は、超音波ビームＴＢの送信方向を模式的に示す送信方向画１５８の他、船舶１５０、その船舶１５０が浮かぶ水面１５１、海底又は湖底に見立てた底１５３、及び、水面１５１と底１５３とに挟まれた水中部１５２を、鳥瞰的に模式的に示した画を表示する。【選択図】図９
