Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device capable of inexpensively actualizing the higher flow amount of intake air and the performance of equally distributing the intake air to cylinders of an engine, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In one embodiment of this invention, an intake manifold 1 includes a surge tank 18 into which intake air is introduced from an intake air introduction port 24, and branch passages 16 communicated with the surge tank 18 for distributing the intake air to the plurality of cylinders of the engine. A curved passage 20 is formed in a curved shape as part of the branch passages 16 with no welding mark, and an outer peripheral wall part 36 is formed in a bent shape as part of the surge tank 18 on the outer periphery side of an opening 30 of the curved passage 20 at the side of the surge tank 18. 【課題】吸気の高流量化やエンジンの各気筒に対する吸気の等分配性能を低コストで実現させることができる吸気装置および吸気装置の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の一態様は、吸気導入口24から吸気が導入されるサージタンク18と、サージタンク18に連通しエンジンの複数の気筒に吸気を分配させる分岐通路16と、を有するインテークマニホールド1において、分岐通路16の一部を形成する湾曲形状の湾曲通路20には溶着跡がなく、湾曲通路20におけるサージタンク18側の開口部30の外周側に形成されサージタンク18の一部を形成する外周壁部36は、曲面形状に形成されている。【選択図】図7
