Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process that is suitable for preventatively counteracting deactivation of a shell catalyst which is finely divided multielement oxide containing Mo and V and whose active material is applied onto a support body, in the course of a heterogeneously catalyzed partial gas phase oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid (i.e. preventing the onset of the deactivation).SOLUTION: The process for preparing a catalyst consisting of a support body and catalytically active material applied on the surface of the support body is provided in which the active material is attached to the surface of the support body with the aid of a binder. The active material is a finely divided mixture consisting of at least one kind of finely divided multielement oxide comprising elements Mo and V, and at least one kind of finely divided substance S selected from a group consisting of molybdenum oxide and of molybdenum compound from which molybdenum oxide is formed under the action of elevated temperature and molecular oxygen. 【課題】活性材料を担体に塗布したMo及びVを含有する微細複合元素酸化物であるシェル触媒の失活を、アクロレインからのアクリル酸への不均一系触媒作用による部分気相酸化の進行中に予防的に制御する(即ち失活の開始を阻止する)ために好適な方法を提供する。【解決手段】担体及び担体表面に塗布した触媒活性材料から成り、その際活性材料を結合剤により担体表面に接着させる、触媒の製造において、活性材料が、− 元素Mo及びVを含有する少なくとも1種の微細複合元素酸化物、及び− モリブデンの酸化物及び高めた温度及び分子酸素の作用下でモリブデンの酸化物を生成するモリブデンの化合物から成る群から選択した少なくとも1種の微細物質Sから成る微細な混合物であることを特徴とする、担体及び担体表面に塗布した触媒活性材料から成る触媒の製法。【選択図】なし
