Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinter alloy for a valve guide for an engine having higher thermal conductivity than conventional iron-based sinter alloys and higher abrasion resistance than conventional high tensile brass.SOLUTION: There is provided an abrasion resistant sinter copper alloy having whole composition consisting of, by mass ratio, Ni:2.0 to 16.0%, Si:0.2 to 4.0% and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities, a metallic structure consisting of a pore, a base consisting of a copper or copper-nickel alloy and nickel silicide dispersed in the base, and the nickel silicide contains ones with 2 μm or more in size.
