PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reading apparatus suitable for miniaturization, suppressing the exposure of power supply means to a light source to the outside of a housing.SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus includes: a light guide body which extends to a main scanning direction and irradiates a subject with light; a light guide body holder having a through hole having one side in which the light guide body is inserted and another side on which a light source is disposed to face the end part of the light guide body in the main scanning direction. The light guide body holder includes, on a sidewall part in a sub-scanning direction, a notch which penetrates in the main scanning direction and extends to the sub-scanning direction. The notch has elasticity. Power supply means, which is inserted in the notch, for supplying power to the light source is elastically fixed. 【課題】 光源への電力供給手段の筐体外部への露出を抑制し、小型化に適した画像読取装置を得る。【解決手段】 主走査方向に延在し、被写体に光を照射する導光体と、一方に、前記導光体が挿入され、他方に、前記導光体の主走査方向の端部に対向して設けられた光源が配置される貫通穴を有する導光体ホルダと、を備え、前記導光体ホルダは、副走査方向の側壁部に、主走査方向に貫通し、副走査方向に延在する切欠き部を有し、前記切欠き部は弾性を有し、前記切欠き部に挿入された、前記光源に電力を供給する電力供給手段を弾性固定した。【選択図】 図１３
