Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reading apparatus suitable for miniaturization, suppressing the exposure of power supply means to a light source to the outside of a housing.SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus includes: a light guide body which extends to a main scanning direction and irradiates a subject with light; a light guide body holder having a through hole having one side in which the light guide body is inserted and another side on which a light source is disposed to face the end part of the light guide body in the main scanning direction. The light guide body holder includes, on a sidewall part in a sub-scanning direction, a notch which penetrates in the main scanning direction and extends to the sub-scanning direction. The notch has elasticity. Power supply means, which is inserted in the notch, for supplying power to the light source is elastically fixed.
