Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the product yield of sintered ore by eliminating insufficient sintering in the upper-layer part of the charge layer of a downward suction type sintering machine so as to improve the productivity of sintered ore.SOLUTION: A method of producing sintered ore comprises charging a sintering raw material containing carbonaceous material onto a circulation-movable pallet of a downward suction type sintering machine to form a charge layer and igniting, downward in order, the carbonaceous material in the surface layer of the charge layer in an ignition furnace. A gaseous fuel, oxygen and a high-temperature gas are supplied into a hood arranged above the charge layer between the ignition furnace of the sintered machine and an ore discharge part to dilute the gaseous fuel to the combustion lower-limit concentration or lower to form an oxygen-enriched high-temperature gas higher in the oxygen concentration than the atmosphere, and the high-temperature gas is sucked and introduced into the charge layer to burn the gaseous fuel at a position different from that of the carbonaceous material. 【課題】下方吸引式焼結機の装入層上層部における焼結不足を解消して、焼結鉱の成品歩留まりを高め、もって焼結鉱の生産性を向上する。【解決手段】下方吸引式焼結機の循環移動するパレット上に炭材を含む焼結原料を装入して装入層を形成した後、点火炉で上記装入層表層の炭材に点火して焼結原料中の炭材を下方に向かって順次燃焼させて焼結鉱を製造する方法において、上記焼結機の点火炉と排鉱部との間の装入層上方に設置したフード内に、気体燃料と酸素と高温ガスを供給して、気体燃料を燃焼下限濃度以下に希釈し、酸素を大気中より高い濃度に富化した高温ガスとした後、該高温ガスを装入層内に吸引・導入し、炭材とは異なる位置で気体燃料を燃焼させることを特徴とする焼結鉱の製造方法。【選択図】図6
