Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rod-shaped lighting device having uniform illuminance distribution in the main scanning direction and sub-scanning direction.SOLUTION: A lighting device including a rod-shaped light guide 3 further includes a light emission region extending to a part of the side face and emitting the light, entering from a light incident surface 3a, to the outside, a main scanning reflection pattern surface 4 extending to the side face while facing the light emission region and diffusing and reflecting the light in the long axis direction of the light guide 3, and a sub-scanning reflection pattern 13 for diffusing and reflecting the light in a direction perpendicular to the long axis direction, only in the vicinity of the light incident surface 3a of the side face excepting the main scanning reflection pattern surface 4. 【課題】 棒状照明装置において、主走査方向および副走査方向に均一な照度分布を持つ照明装置を得る。【解決手段】 棒状の導光体3を備える照明装置において、側面の一部に延在して入光面3aから入射する光を外部に出射する出光領域と、出光領域に対向して側面に延在して導光体3の長軸方向に光を拡散反射する主走査反射パターン面4と、主走査反射パターン面4を除く側面の入光面3aの近傍にのみ長軸方向と垂直な方向に光を拡散反射する副走査反射パターン13とを備える。【選択図】 図2
