Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve keeping of a proper sagging amount and suppression of meander of a medium during conveying the medium while reducing the number of sensors to be needed.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a medium delivering part 3 for delivering a medium M; a delivery amount adjusting part 9 for adjusting the delivery amount of the medium M delivered from the medium delivering part 3 on the basis of a change of the sagging amount W of the medium M in a downstream position of the medium delivering part; a first sensor 13 arranged at a position facing at least one edge part 11A of the medium M in a width direction; and a second sensor 15 arranged so as to be separated from the first sensor 13 in the width direction of the medium M. Both the sagging amount W of the medium and presence of the meander of the medium can be recognized by sensing information of the first sensor and the second sensor. 【課題】媒体の搬送時の適切な弛み量の維持と媒体の蛇行の抑制とを、必要なセンサーの数を低減しつつ実現すること。【解決手段】媒体Mを繰り出す媒体繰出し部3と、媒体繰出し部3から繰り出される媒体Mの繰出し量を媒体繰り出し部の下流位置における該媒体の弛み量Wの変化に基づいて調整する繰出し量調整部9と、媒体Mの幅方向における少なくとも一方の縁部11Aと対向する位置に配置されている第1センサー13と、前記第1センサー13に対して、媒体Mの幅方向に離間して配置される第2センサー15とを具備し、前記第1センサーと前記第2センサーのセンシング情報によって媒体の弛み量Wと該媒体の蛇行の有無の両方を把握可能である。【選択図】図2
