Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a reference plate deforms through thermal expansion and a position shift of size which cannot be tolerant of with respect a nozzle pitch is caused.SOLUTION: As an embodiment, There is provided an ink jet head including: a head body which has a plurality of discharge ports arrayed in a nozzle array direction and a liquid chamber for ink; a base part which has a supply path for ink to the liquid chamber of the head body and a discharge path therefor; a driving circuit which is provided at the base part and drives the head body for discharging; a heat sink which emits heat of the driving circuit; a reference plate to which heat of those heat sink and driving circuit is conducted and which is fixed to a structure on the side of the printer body at both lengthwise end parts respectively; and a fixed body which has lower wheat conductivity than the reference plate, and unites the heat sink and base part in one body by positioning the head body at the reference plate with the nozzle array direction parallel with a main scanning direction. 【課題】熱膨張によって基準プレートが変形し、ノズルピッチに対して許容できない寸法の位置ずれが生じる。【解決手段】一実施形態によれば、ノズル配列方向に配列された複数の吐出口およびインクの液室を有するヘッド本体と、このヘッド本体の前記液室への前記インクの供給路およびその排出路を有するベース部と、このベース部に設けられ前記ヘッド本体を吐出駆動する駆動回路と、この駆動回路の発熱を放熱するヒートシンクと、これらのヒートシンクおよび駆動回路による発熱が伝熱され、プレート長方向両端部でそれぞれプリンタ本体側の構造体に固定される基準プレートと、この基準プレートの熱伝導率よりも低い熱伝導率を有し、前記基準プレートに対して前記ヘッド本体を前記ノズル配列方向が主走査方向に平行に位置決めして前記ヒートシンクおよび前記ベース部を一体化する被固定体と、を備えるインクジェットヘッドが提供される。【選択図】図1
