Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel temperature-responsive cell culture substrate.SOLUTION: A temperature-responsive polymer is grafted on surfaces of a substrate having patterned surfaces of two or more kinds of materials having a different grafting efficiency of the temperature-responsive polymer which undergoes a change in the interaction with water at a temperature range of from 0 to 80°C by the same electron irradiation. A temperature-responsive cell culture substrate comprises at least (1) a surface on which cells adhere and grow during cell culture and from which the cells adhering and growing thereon are detached by changing the culture temperature, and (2) a surface on which cells do not adhere at all, as a surface of the materials concerned on which the temperature-responsive polymer is grafted. According to this method, the temperature-responsive cell culture substrate having (1) a surface on which cells adhere and grow during cell culture and from which the cells adhering and growing thereon are detached by changing the culture temperature, and (2) a surface on which cells do not adhere at all can be obtained, wherein the temperature-responsive polymer is Polly-N-isopropylacrylamide, and ionic monomers are copolymerized. 【課題】新規な温度応答性細胞培養器材の提供。【解決手段】同一の電子線照射において0〜80℃の範囲で水に対する相互作用が変化する温度応答性ポリマーのグラフト効率が異なる2種類以上の材質がパターン状に現れている器材表面に温度応答性ポリマーがグラフト化され、その温度応答性ポリマーがグラフト化された当該材質の表面に、少なくとも(1)細胞培養時に細胞が付着、増殖し、培養温度を変えることでその付着、増殖した細胞を剥離させられる表面、及び(2)細胞を全く付着させない表面を含む、温度応答性細胞培養器材。この方法によれば、(1)細胞培養時に細胞が付着、増殖し、培養温度を変えることでその付着、増殖した細胞を剥離させられる表面と、(2)細胞を全く付着させない表面と、を有する温度応答性細胞培養器材。前記温度応答性ポリマーがポリ−N−イソプロピルアクリルアミドであり、イオン性モノマーが共重合している前記培養器材。【選択図】なし
