PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle for suppressing the insulation failure to be caused by the wearing foreign matter which is caused by the contact between a power incoming part and an overhead power line.SOLUTION: In an electric vehicle for causing the charging head 26 of a charging arm to contact with an overhead power line thereby to charge a power storage device, a charging head 26 comprises: power incoming parts 40p and 40n positioned at the leading ends of arm parts and contacting with overhead power lines in a horizontal direction; and a storage part 54 formed with a recess 54a depressed at a predetermined depth below the power incoming parts 40p and 40n. 【課題】受電部と架線との接触によって出る磨耗カスによって発生する絶縁不良を抑制する電動車両を提供する。【解決手段】充電アームの充電ヘッド２６を架線に接触させて、蓄電装置を充電する電動車両において、充電ヘッド２６は、アーム部の先端に位置するとともに、水平方向において架線に接触する受電部４０ｐ、４０ｎと、受電部４０ｐ、４０ｎより下方において所定の深さだけ凹んだ凹部５４ａが形成された収容部５４とを備える。【選択図】図６
