Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component which decreases a core temperature compared to a conventional coil component even in the usage in which the heating value of a core becomes large and thereby achieves downsizing and weight reduction.SOLUTION: A coil component includes: a coil 2; and a pair of upper and lower part cores 4, 5 which encloses an outer periphery of the coil 2 and forms a closed magnetic circuit. The coil component is placed in a housing in which a bottom surface of the lower part core 5 has a heat radiation function. A metal plate 7 having heat conductivity higher than that of the lower part core 5 is attached to an outer side surface of the lower part core 5.
