Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element and a novel alcohol-soluble phosphorescent material.SOLUTION: This invention provides an iridium complex having, for example, the following structures. The iridium complex can be used for an organic electroluminescent element 1 which can be formed by a wet process in manufacturing of an organic electronic element having a multilayered structure, and includes a luminescent layer having excellence in electron injection characteristics, electron transport characteristics, durability, and luminescent efficiency.
