PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising finafloxacin and methods for treating an ophthalmic, otic, or nasal infection.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to methods for treating an ophthalmic, otic, or nasal infection comprising treating the infected tissue with a composition comprising finafloxacin or a finafloxacin derivative. In addition, the present invention also relates to antimicrobial compositions comprising finafloxacin or a finafloxacin derivative. The compositions are suitable for the treatment of ophthalmic, otic, or nasal infections. The compositions and methods of the present invention are useful in the treatment of acute otic infections, particularly those of the external ear canal such as acute otitis externa (AOE) and acute otitis media with tympanostomy tubes (AOMT). 【課題】眼、耳または鼻の感染症を処置するためのフィナフロキサシンを含む組成物および方法の提供。【解決手段】本発明は、フィナフロキサシンまたはフィナフロキサシン誘導体を含む組成物によって感染組織を処置するステップを含む、眼、耳または鼻の感染症を処置するための方法に関する。加えて本発明は、フィナフロキサシンまたはフィナフロキサシン誘導体を含む抗菌組成物にも関する。この組成物は眼、耳または鼻の感染症の処置に好適である。本発明の組成物および方法は、急性の耳の感染症、特にたとえば急性外耳炎（ＡＯＥ）および中耳腔換気用チューブを伴う急性中耳炎（ＡＯＭＴ）などの外耳道の感染症の処置に有用である。【選択図】なし
