Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable clamping of a workpiece for rotary plastic processing such as thickening of a workpiece outer diameter comprising a metallic plate like a steel sheet by spinning in a method of and a device for clamping the workpiece in a lathe such as a numerical control lathe.SOLUTION: In a clamping method, a workpiece W is disposed between a chuck body 38 rotating integrally with a main shaft of a lathe and a clamp plate 46 in which one end is connected to a draw bar and the other end is rotatably supported to a tailstock side. In the clamp plate 46, a lock pin 52 is engaged with a lock groove 44 on an extending shaft 42 of the draw bar. An outer periphery Wof the workpiece to be processed is clamped so as to protrude radially outward between the clamp plate 46 and the chuck body 38 by pulling-in force of the draw bar, and spinning of the outer periphery Wof the workpiece is performed between a molding roller 34 attached to a turret of a tool rest of the lathe, the chuck body 38, and the clamp plate 46. 【課題】本発明は数値制御旋盤等の旋盤におけるワークのクランプ方法及び装置に関するものであり、鋼板等の金属板材より成るワーク外径部のスピンニングによる増肉等の回転塑性加工のためのクランプを可能とすることを目的とする。【解決手段】旋盤主軸と一体回転するチャック本体38と、一端がドローバーに連結され、他端が芯押台側に回転可能に支持されるクランプ板46との間にワークWを配置する。クランプ板46はロックピン52がドローバーの延長軸42上のロック溝44に係合され、ドローバーの引き込み力によりクランプ板46とチャック本体38間に加工すべきワーク外周部W3が半径外方に突出するようにクランプされ、ワーク外周部W3は旋盤刃物台のタレットに取り付けられた成形ローラ34とチャック本体38及びクランプ板46間でスピンニングを行なう。【選択図】 図5
