Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus of an intermittently notched optical fiber ribbon capable of accurately putting a cutting blade of a cutting roller between desired coated optical fibers, in intermittently making cuts between the coated optical fibers of the optical fiber ribbon using the cutting roller.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus comprises: a cutting roller 40 having a non-cutting area and a cutting area with a cutting blade 42 disposed, in a circumferential direction on an outer peripheral surface of a trunk part 41; and a positioning roller 50 disposed oppositely to the cutting roller 40 and having flange parts 52 for positioning an optical fiber ribbon 1 in a width direction thereof on both side parts of a barrel part 51. Further, in the manufacturing apparatus, the cutting roller 40 and the positioning roller 50 are disposed so that a distance H between the barrel part 51 and a blade tip of the cutting blade 42 is larger than 0 and smaller than half a thickness of the optical fiber ribbon 1. The cutting roller 40 and the positioning roller 50 are rotated while the cutting blade 42 is pressed against the optical fiber ribbon 1, thereby making cuts therein.
【課題】切断ローラを用いて光ファイバテープ心線の光ファイバ心線間に間欠的に切込みを入れる際に、精度良く所望の光ファイバ心線間に切断ローラの切断刃を入れることを可能にする間欠切込み光ファイバテープ心線の製造装置を提供する。【解決手段】製造装置は、胴部41の外周面上の円周方向に非切込み領域と切断刃42を配設した切込み領域とを有する切断ローラ40と、切断ローラ40に対向して配設され、胴部51の両側部に光ファイバテープ心線1の幅方向を位置決めする鍔部52を有する位置決めローラ50と、を備える。さらに、この製造装置は、胴部51と切断刃42の刃先との距離Hが0より大きく且つ光ファイバテープ心線1の厚みの半分より小さくなるように、切断ローラ40と位置決めローラ50が配設されており、光ファイバテープ心線1に切断刃42を押しつけながら切断ローラ40と位置決めローラ50を回転させて切込みを入れる。【選択図】図4C |
