Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber and an optical cable having good rupture characteristics and excellent optical characteristics.SOLUTION: Optical fibers B1 and B2 each comprise: a glass part 18 which includes a core 11 and a clad 12 surrounding the core 11; and a resin part 19 which includes a non-releasable resin layer 13 covering the surface of the glass part 18 and containing an ultraviolet curable resin, and a buffer layer 16 covering the non-releasable resin layer 13 and containing an ultraviolet curable resin. The core 11 has a diameter of 20-80 μm, and the non-releasable resin layer 13 has an outer diameter of 120-127 μm. When flexural rigidity of the glass part 18 is denoted by EI(g) and the flexural rigidity of the resin part 19 is denoted by EI(r), EI(g)≥EI(r) is satisfied.
【課題】良好な破断特性および優れた光学特性を有する光ファイバおよび光ケーブルを提供する。【解決手段】光ファイバB1およびB2は、コア11及びコア11を取り囲むクラッド12を含むガラス部分18と、ガラス部分18の表面を覆っており紫外線硬化樹脂を含む非剥離性樹脂層13、及び非剥離性樹脂層13を覆い紫外線硬化樹脂を含むバッファ層16を含む樹脂部分19と、を備える。コア11の径は20〜80μmであり、非剥離性樹脂層13の外径は120〜127μmであり、ガラス部分18の曲げ剛性をEI(g)とし、樹脂部分19の曲げ剛性をEI(r)としたときに、EI(g) EI(r)を満たす。【選択図】図1 |
