Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable discharge performance by securing a favorable compliance and durability of a damper film.SOLUTION: A droplet discharge head comprises: a plurality of individual liquid chambers 31 communicating with a plurality of nozzles 4a; a common liquid chamber 36 that supplies a liquid to the individual liquid chambers via an ink supply passage 35; piezoelectric elements 50 that make the individual liquid chambers generate pressure variation so as to discharge droplets out of the nozzles; the deformable damper films 17 each forming a part of a wall surface of the common liquid chamber; and an air storage part 37 facing the common liquid chamber with the damper film 17 interposed. The damper film consists of an enclosure wall member 17 made of a thermoplastic elastomer of a polymer material and has irregularity on a surface facing the air storage part of the enclosure wall member 17.
【課題】ダンパ膜の良好なコンプライアンスと耐久性を確保して安定した吐出性能を得る。【解決手段】複数のノズル4aに連通する複数の個別液室31と、個別液室にインク供給路35を介して液体を供給する共通液室36と、ノズルから液滴を吐出するよう個別液室に圧力変動を発生させる圧電素子50と、共通液室の壁面の一部を形成する変形可能なダンパ膜17と、ダンパ膜17を挟んで共通液室と対向する空気貯留部37とを備える。ダンパ膜は、高分子材料である熱可塑性エラストマーから形成された包囲壁部材17からなり、包囲壁部材17の空気貯留部に対向する面に凹凸を有する。【選択図】図9 |
