PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate inspection method capable of solving the problems that conventional plate manufacturing process inspection is simple, but has a lot of mistakes since the inspection is performed with visual inspection of images in principle, especially, when a printing company and a plate manufacturing company are in difference countries, the inspection has a lot of mistakes in checking printed words, and also the inspection has a lot of mistakes in checking with visual inspection of printing such as patterns and pictures and takes time when the printing is performed in different countries.SOLUTION: A printing plate inspection method comprises: a measurement step for three-dimensionally measuring protrusions on a surface of a printing plate; a conversion step for converting three-dimensional data of the shape of the printing plate into two-dimensional data; a comparison step for comparing the two-dimensional data to two dimensional data of an object; and a determination step for determining adequacy with the result of comparison. 【課題】従来の版作製の工程の検査では、原則、画像同士の目視検査でされている。簡便的であるが、ミスが多い。特に、印刷会社と版製造会社とが異なる国の場合、印字の言葉のチェックミスが多い。模様、絵などの印刷においても、国をまたがると目視でのチェックでは、ミスが多くでる。時間もかかる。【解決手段】上記課題を解決するため、印刷版の表面の凸部を３次元計測する計測工程と、印刷版の形状の３次元データを、２次元データへ変換する変換工程と、２次元データを、対象物の２次元データと比較する比較工程と、比較の結果により、合否を判定する判定工程と、からなる印刷版検査方法用いる。【選択図】図１
