Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion which provides a comfortable and effective seal for a range of facial sizes and shapes.SOLUTION: A cushion (10) for a patient interface that delivers breathable gas to a patient includes: a base wall (28) structured to be connected to a frame; an underlying support cushion (30) extending away from the base wall (28) toward the patient's face in use; and a membrane (32) provided to substantially cover at least a portion of the underlying support cushion (30). The membrane (32) is adapted to form a continuous seal on the patient's face. The underlying support cushion (30) has a spring-like connection with the base wall (28). The underlying support cushion (30) and/or base wall (28) define a spring constant that varies along a length of the seal. 【課題】多様な顔のサイズ及び形状のための、快適かつ効果的な密封を提供するクッションを提供する。【解決手段】呼吸に適した気体を患者に送達する患者インターフェース用のクッション（１０）が、フレームに連結される構造の土台壁（２８）と、その下にあり、使用中に患者の顔面の方に土台壁（２８）から離れて延びる基礎支持クッション（３０）と、基礎クッション（３０）の少なくとも一部分をほぼ覆うように設けられた膜（３２）とを備える。膜（３２）は、患者の顔面上で連続的な密封を形成するように適合される。基礎クッション（３０）は、土台壁（２８）とのばね状の連結部を有する。基礎クッション（３０）および／または土台壁（２８）は、密封の長さに沿って変化するばね定数を規定する。【選択図】図１
