A door ECU calculates an absolute value DN of a rotation speed difference as a deviation between a rotational speed of the DC motor detected in an idle running section and a current rotational speed of the DC motor detected afterward to detect pinching of foreign matter on the basis of the magnitude relation between the absolute value DN of the rotational speed difference and a detection threshold. The door ECU detects duration time in which the back door is opened, and sets a detection threshold TaS when the detected duration time is short to have higher detection sensitivity of catching of foreign matter than a detection threshold TaL when the detected duration time is long. 【課題】挟み込みの検出精度をより向上させることができる車両用開閉体駆動制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】DCモータは、車両のボデーの開口との間にウェザストリップが介装されるバックドアを閉駆動する。ドアECUは、空走区間に検出されたDCモータの回転速度と、その後に検出された現在のDCモータの回転速度との偏差である回転速度差の絶対値DNを演算し、該回転速度差の絶対値DNと検知閾値との大小関係に基づき異物の挟み込みを検出する。ドアECUは、バックドアが開状態にある継続時間を検出し、検出された継続時間が長いときの検知閾値TaLよりも短いときの検知閾値TaSの方が異物の挟み込みの検出感度が高くなるようにする。【選択図】図9
