Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downhole tool or a member thereof, and a resin composition which have excellent mechanical characteristics and have high impact resistance that is hardly damaged by contact and/or collision with various members, can be easily removed, as needed, and contributes to cost reduction and process reduction of winze drilling, even when a drilling condition such as a high depth when a hydrocarbon resource is recovered is severe and various.SOLUTION: There are provided a downhole tool or a member thereof that is formed of a decomposable resin composition containing a decomposable resin and an organic fiber-reinforced material, of which the decomposable resin composition has an Izod impact strength (notched) of 40 J/m or more and tensile elongation of 7% or more, and that is preferably a ball sealer, a ball sheet, a flux plug or a bridge plug; a decomposable resin composition for a downhole tool (member) containing 70 to 97 mass% of the decomposable resin and 3 to 30 mass% of the organic fiber-reinforced material (100 mass% of total of the decomposable resin and organic fiber-reinforced material); and a method for recovering a hydrocarbon resource using the downhole tool (member). 【課題】高深度化など炭化水素資源回収の採掘条件が過酷かつ多様となるもと、機械的特性に優れ、諸部材との接触や衝突によっても損傷しにくい高い耐衝撃性を有し、かつ、必要に応じて除去を容易に行うことができ、坑井掘削の経費節減及び工程短縮に寄与する、ダウンホールツールまたはその部材、及び樹脂組成物を提供すること。【解決手段】分解性樹脂及び有機繊維強化材を含有する分解性樹脂組成物から形成され、該分解性樹脂組成物のアイゾット衝撃強さ(ノッチ有り)40J/m以上及び引張伸度7%以上である、好ましくはボールシーラー、ボールシート、フラックプラグまたはブリッジプラグであるダウンホールツールまたはその部材;分解性樹脂70〜97質量%及び有機繊維強化材3〜30質量%(分解性樹脂及び有機繊維強化材の合計100質量%)を含有するダウンホールツール(部材)用分解性樹脂組成物;並びに該ダウンホールツール(部材)を使用する炭化水素資源の回収方法。【選択図】図1
