PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable sound volume of a settlement sound and an error sound output by an electronic money settlement terminal device to be adjustable on the basis of sound volume in a peripheral environment so as to fit the sound volume to the peripheral environment.SOLUTION: An electronic money settlement terminal device 10 comprises: a sound collection unit (a microphone 113) for collecting sounds in a periphery under an installation environment of a vending machine 100; a sound output unit (a speaker 114) for outputting a settlement sound generated at the time of settlement processing of a purchased commodity and/or an error sound generated at the time of occurrence of an error; and a control unit 12 for measuring sound volume of sounds in a periphery collected by the sound collection unit during a period in which the vending machine does not sell commodities and adjusting sound volume of the settlement sound and/or the error sound output from the sound output unit on the basis of a measurement result. 【課題】電子マネー決済端末装置が出力する決済音やエラー音の音量をその周辺環境に適合するように、周辺環境における音量に基づいて調整可能にする。【解決手段】電子マネー決済端末装置１０は、自動販売機１００の設置環境下における周囲の音を集音する集音部（マイクロフォン１１３）と、購入商品の決済処理時に生成される決済音および／またはエラー発生時に生成されるエラー音を出力する音声出力部（スピーカー１１４）と、自動販売機が商品販売中以外の期間に、集音部で集音された周囲の音の音量を測定し、測定した結果に基づいて音声出力部から出力される決済音および／またはエラー音の音量を調整する制御部１２とを備えて構成される。【選択図】図２
