Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience without lowering safety in cipher communication through a relay device.SOLUTION: A communication method used by a relay device provided between a terminal and server includes the steps of: verifying credibility of a server certificate which is transmitted from the server and is for cipher communication between the server and relay device; issuing a proxy certificate which corresponds to the credibility of the server certificate and is for cipher communication between the relay device and terminal; and transmitting the proxy certificate to the terminal. 【課題】中継装置を経由する暗号通信において、安全性を低下させることなく利便性を向上させる。【解決手段】端末とサーバとの間に設けられる中継装置において使用される通信方法は、サーバから送信される、サーバと中継装置との間の暗号通信のためのサーバ証明書の信頼性を検証し、サーバ証明書の信頼性に対応する、中継装置と端末との間の暗号通信のためのプロキシ証明書を発行して端末へ送信する。【選択図】図５
