Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate a load on a viewer visually recognizing stereoscopic video including zoom display.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a parallax information acquisition unit for acquiring the maximum value and minimum value of parallax in image data on the basis of an image for left eye and image for right eye; a depth information acquisition unit for acquiring a depth amount of the image data on the basis of difference between the acquired maximum and minimum values of the parallax; a zoom display detection unit for detecting the presence/absence of zoom display on the basis of the depth amount's variation between image data; and a correction unit for performing correction on the image data so as to mitigate a viewing load, when zoom display is detected and the maximum value of the parallax is equal to or larger than a threshold. 【課題】ズーム表示を含む立体視映像において、視聴者の視認負荷を軽減する。【解決手段】左眼用画像と右眼用画像とをもとに、画像データ内での視差の最大値と最小値と、を取得する視差情報取得部と、取得された視差の最大値と前記最小値との差分をもとに画像データの奥行き量を取得する奥行き情報取得部と、画像データ間での奥行き量の変化をもとにズーム表示の有無を検出するズーム表示検出部と、ズーム表示が検出され、かつ、視差の最大値が閾値以上である場合に、画像データに対して視聴負担を軽減するよう補正を行う補正部と、を有する。【選択図】図2
