Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus configured to heat a belt for conveying a medium, with a heating member which generates heat by electromagnetic induction, while reducing the time from the start of heating the belt to the time of reaching a predetermined temperature, as compared with a case where no inhibition layer is provided.SOLUTION: A heat storage plate 58 is a member that generates heat by electromagnetic induction which is generated by an action of an AC magnetic field generated by an electromagnetic induction unit 53, to transfer the heat to a fixing belt 51. The heat storage plate 58 is formed by laminating a magnetic path forming member 581, a resin layer 582, and a heat capacity adjustment member 583 in this order, from an inner circumferential surface of the fixing belt 51 toward an axis O1. The resin layer 582 is arranged along the magnetic path forming member 581, on a side opposite a surface where the magnetic path forming member 581 faces the fixing belt 51. Thermal conductivity of the resin layer 582 is lower than those of the magnetic path forming member 581 and the heat capacity adjustment member 583, and prevents heat from being transferred from the magnetic path forming member 581 to the heat capacity adjustment member 583. 【課題】媒体を搬送するベルトを電磁誘導により発熱する発熱部材により加熱する加熱装置において、ベルトの加熱の開始からベルトが予め定められた温度に達するまでの時間を、阻害層を設けない場合と比べて短縮する。【解決手段】蓄熱板58は、電磁誘導部53が生成した交流磁界が作用して生じる電磁誘導により発熱し、定着ベルト51に熱を伝導する部材である。蓄熱板58は、磁路形成部材581、樹脂層582、および熱容量調整部材583を、定着ベルト51の内周面側から軸O1に向かってこの順に重ねて備える。樹脂層582は、磁路形成部材581に沿って、磁路形成部材581が定着ベルト51に相対する面の反対側に設けられている。樹脂層582の熱伝導性は、磁路形成部材581の熱伝導性及び熱容量調整部材583の熱伝導性よりも低く、磁路形成部材581から熱容量調整部材583への熱移動を阻害する。【選択図】図2
