Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing an isocyanate that comprises a color-imparted compound in a relatively low proportion, by phosgene treatment of amine in gaseous phase.SOLUTION: Provided is a process for preparing isocyanate by reacting corresponding amine with phosgene in the presence or absence of inert medium, and in which: the process comprises feeding an amine stream having a PRI (polarography reducible impurity) value of less than 60 moles per one million moles (mpm) on average, to phosgene treatment; the phosgene treatment is carried out in gaseous phase; and the reaction in the reaction zone is carried out at 200 to 570°C. 【課題】気相中でのアミンのホスゲン処理による、色付与化合物を比較的低比率で有するイソシアネートの製造法を提供する。【解決手段】不活性媒体の存在下または不活性媒体の不存在下に相当するアミンをホスゲンと反応させることによってイソシアネートを製造する方法であって、平均して60モルパー百万モル(mpm)未満のPRI(ポーラログラフィにより還元可能な不純物)値を有するアミン流をホスゲン処理に供給することを含み、ホスゲン処理は気相中で行い、反応ゾーンにおける反応は、200〜570℃で行う、方法。【選択図】なし
