Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need to photograph a projection surface with a camera in projecting images with a multi-projection system to reduce a decrease in the intensity of ambient light and black floating.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus first acquires position information on projection areas of projectors and cuts out to create a division image to be projected by each of the projectors from an entire image, classifies the entire projection areas according to the degree of overlapping of projection surfaces on a screen and calculates a luminance correction value of each pixel in the entire projection areas from the difference between the maximum luminance value land the luminance value of each pixel l(x,y), and adds the correction value for each pixel to the division image of each of the projectors to create a projection image to be projected by each of the projectors. 【課題】マルチプロジェクションシステムによって画像を投影する際に、カメラによる投影面の撮影を不要にして、周辺光量落ちおよび黒浮きを低減できるようにする。【解決手段】まず、各プロジェクタの投影領域の位置情報を取得し、各プロジェクタの投影すべき分割画像を全体画像から切り出して生成する。そして、スクリーン上の投影面の重複度合いに応じて全投影領域を分類し、全投影領域の各画素の輝度補正値を、最大輝度値lmaxと各画素の輝度値l(x,y)との差によって算出する。プロジェクタ毎の分割画像に画素毎の補正値を加算することによってプロジェクタが投影する投影画像を生成する。【選択図】図2
