Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional coupler capable of reducing leakage of electromagnetic field due to a slit formed in a ground conductor.SOLUTION: A directional coupler includes: a coupling part which includes a main signal line conductor and a sub signal line conductor disposed in parallel to the main signal line conductor; and a ground conductor which is disposed being separated from the main signal line conductor and the sub signal line conductor by a dielectric layer interposed therebetween. The ground conductor has at least one or more slits which are formed in an area facing to the coupling part and in the vicinity of the facing area. The slit has a first maximum open dimension corresponding to a longitude direction of the directional coupler in a facing area opposed to the main signal line conductor is arranged to be smaller than a second maximum open dimension corresponding to a longitudinal direction of the directional coupler in an area other than the facing area. 【課題】 接地導体に設けたスリットによる電磁界の漏れ出しを低減する。【解決手段】 この発明に係る方向性結合器は、主信号線導体および主信号線導体と平行に配置された副信号線導体からなる結合部と、主信号線導体と副信号線導体とから誘電体層で隔離して配置された接地導体とを有する方向性結合器であって、接地導体は、結合部と相対向した対向箇所および対向箇所の近傍にわたって形成されたスリットを少なくとも1つ以上有し、スリットは、主信号線導体と相対向した対向箇所における当該方向性結合器の長手方向に対応した第1の最大開口幅寸法を、対向箇所以外における当該方向性結合器の長手方向に対応した第2の最大開口幅寸法よりも小さくしたものである。【選択図】 図1
