Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that achieves both low-temperature fixability and heat-resistant storage property at high level; suppresses the occurrence of the aggregation of the toner inside a developing unit caused by insufficient mechanical durability due to the use of a crystalline resin, contamination of a carrier and the inside of an apparatus, and a deterioration in chargeability and fluidity due to the embedment of an external additive; and quickly recovers the elastic modulus of the toner after fixation, so as to improve the hardness of images and provide high-quality images with excellent friction resistance.SOLUTION: A toner for image formation contains a colorant, binder resin, and mold release agent, where the binder resin includes a copolymer resin A having a structural unit derived from a crystalline polyester resin A1 and a structural unit derived from an amorphous polyester resin A2, and an amorphous resin B, and 30 to 70 mass% of the amorphous resin B is contained in the binder resin; when binarization processing is performed with an intermediate value between the maximum value and the minimum value of the phase difference in a phase image obtained by performing tapping mode AFM observation to the binder resin, and a phase difference image composed of a portion with large phase difference is a first phase difference image and one composed of a portion with small phase difference is a second phase difference image, a dispersion diameter and width of the first phase difference image are 100 nm or less.
【課題】低温定着性と耐熱保存性を高レベルで両立し、結晶性樹脂使用による機械的耐久性不足による現像機内でのトナーの凝集発生や、キャリア汚染や機内汚染、外添剤埋没による帯電性や流動性の悪化を抑え、且つ定着後にトナー弾性率が速やかに回復することで画像の硬度が向上し、耐擦性に優れ高画質画像が得られるトナーを提供すること。【解決手段】着色剤、結着樹脂及び離型剤を含有し、結着樹脂は、結晶性ポリエステル樹脂A1由来の構造単位と非結晶性ポリエステル樹脂A2由来の構造単位とを有する共重合樹脂Aと、非晶性樹脂Bとを含み、非晶性樹脂Bは結着樹脂中に30〜70重量%含有され、結着樹脂に対しタッピングモードAFM観察を行って得られる位相像における位相差の最大値と最小値の中間値で二値化処理し、位相差の大きい部位からなる第一の位相差像と、小さい部位からなる第二の位相差像としたとき、第一の位相差像の分散径及び幅が100nm以下であること。【選択図】図2 |
