Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin flat glass substrate especially for display production, having the thickness of below 1.5 mm, the length of at least 1,800 mm, the width of at least 1800 mm, and a difference between the minimum thickness and the maximum thickness below 50 μm.SOLUTION: In a float glass processing treatment for producing a flat glass substrate having an improved quality, thickness fluctuation of a thin flat glass substrate formed by providing a flag 9 in a molten metal in a heat diffusion region on both surfaces of a glass sheet 3 under formation is suppressed minimally.
