PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a rotary electric machine, which is able to achieve both a decrease in an amount of cord used for binding coil end parts and the prevention of movement of the coil end part of the outermost phase wind, and to provide an on-vehicle motor compressor that has the stator for the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: The coil end parts 50U of the outermost phase wind 48U are tightly bound by inserting cords 60 through spaces near all teeth 46A, 46B, and 46C arranged between a pair of slot parts 49U continuing to the coil end parts 50U within first space SU. The coil end parts 50V (50W) of the other phase wind 48V (48W) are tightly bound by inserting the cords 60 through spaces in the vicinity of the teeth 46A, 46B (46B, 46C) other than at least the one tooth 46C (46A) among the three teeth 46A, 46B, and 46C arranged between a pair of slot parts 49V (49W) continuing to the coil end parts 50V (50W) within second space SV (SW). 【課題】コイルエンド部を緊縛する紐の使用量低減と、最外相巻線のコイルエンド部の移動防止とを両立させることのできる回転電機の固定子およびその回転電機の固定子を備えた車載用電動圧縮機の提供にある。【解決手段】最外相巻線４８Ｕのコイルエンド部５０Ｕは、第１空間ＳＵ内において、コイルエンド部５０Ｕに連続する一対のスロット部４９Ｕの間に配置される全てのティース４６Ａ、４６Ｂ、４６Ｃの近傍に紐６０を挿通することによって緊縛され、他の相巻線４８Ｖ（４８Ｗ）のコイルエンド部５０Ｖ（５０Ｗ）は、第２空間ＳＶ（ＳＷ）内において、コイルエンド部５０Ｖ（５０Ｗ）に連続する一対のスロット部４９Ｖ（４９Ｗ）の間に配置される３つのティース４６Ａ、４６Ｂ、４６Ｃのうち、少なくとも１つのティース４６Ｃ（４６Ａ）を除いて他のティース４６Ａ、４６Ｂ（４６Ｂ、４６Ｃ）の近傍に紐６０を挿通することによって緊縛されている。【選択図】 図５
