Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of swiftly presenting objects in which users may be interested in an input image in an easy-to-understand manner.SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a detection section 110; a generation section 120; and a display section 150. The detection section 110 detects an interesting area from an input image D1. The generation section 120 performs a correction to improve the visibility on the image in the detected interesting area including at least one of a size correction, a posture correction and a color correction to generate a sub image. The display section 150 displays the generated sub image on a display device 160 together with the input image D1 in a manner the relation therebetween is indicated. 【課題】入力画像の中でユーザが関心を持つことが推察される対象を、応答性よく、理解しやすいかたちでユーザに提示する。【解決手段】実施形態の画像表示装置は、検出部１１０と、生成部１２０と、表示制御部１５０と、を備える。検出部１１０は、入力画像Ｄ１から注目領域を検出する。生成部１２０は、検出された注目領域の画像に対して、視認性を向上させる補正であって、サイズ補正と正対補正と色補正との少なくともいずれかを含む補正を施してサブ画像を生成する。表示制御部１５０は、生成されたサブ画像を、注目領域との対応関係を示す画面表現を伴う形式で入力画像Ｄ１とともに表示器１６０に表示させる。【選択図】図１
