PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing and a joint structure which allow simple and secure connection work by preventing unlimited diameter enlargement and deformation of the packing.SOLUTION: A packing 31 is interposed between a pipe body 1 fitted on the outside of a nipple 20, and fastening means 40 fitted on the outside of the pipe body 1 and pressing an inner peripheral surface of the pipe body 1 onto an outer peripheral surface of the nipple 20. The packing 31 is formed in a discontinuous annular body by a slit 32, and includes engaging means 33 restricting its opposite edge ends from moving away from each other in an engagement state. 【課題】パッキンの無制限な拡径、変形を抑制し、接続作業を簡単にかつ確実に行うことのできるパッキン及び継手構造を提供する。【解決手段】ニップル２０に外嵌される管体１と、この管体１に外嵌され、管体１の内周面を上記ニップル２０の外周面に圧接する締付手段４０との間に介在されるパッキン３１であって、スリット３２によって周方向に不連続な環状体とされており、互いに対向する縁端部には、係合状態において、互いに離間する方向への移動を規制する係合手段３３が設けられている。【選択図】図１
