PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide phosphinate compounds with HCV inhibitory activity.SOLUTION: The invention is related to anti-viral phosphinate compounds, compositions containing the compounds, and treatment methods that include administering the compounds, as well as to methods and intermediates useful for producing the compounds. The compositions of the invention are useful in treating disorders associated with the HCV. In one embodiment, the invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition further containing a nucleoside analogue.
