Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging optical element that can be integrally molded and is easily adjustable for optical characteristics.SOLUTION: The imaging optical element includes a first imaging plane array 11, a prism array 12, a reflection surface 13, and a second imaging plane array 14. A normal line on a plane top of a plurality of imaging planes constituting the first imaging plane array, a normal line on a plane including ridge lines of a plurality of prisms constituting the prism array 12, a normal line on the reflection surface 13, and a normal line on a plane top of a plurality of imaging planes constituting the second imaging plane array, are defined as a first normal line, a second normal line, a third normal line, and a fourth normal line, respectively; and a direction of each normal line from the imaging optical element to the outside is defined as a positive direction. An angle α formed by the positive direction of the first normal line and the positive direction of the third normal line is an acute angle; and an angle formed by the positive direction of the second normal line and the fourth normal line is an acute angle. 【課題】 一体成型が可能であり、かつ、容易に光学特性の調整をすることができる。【解決手段】 第1結像面アレイ11と、プリズムアレイ12と、反射面13と、第2結像面アレイ14と、を有し、第1結像面アレイ11を構成する複数の結像面の面頂点における法線を第1法線とし、プリズムアレイ12を構成する複数のプリズムの稜線を含む平面における法線を第2法線とし、反射面13の法線を第3法線とし、第2結像面アレイ14を構成する複数の結像面の面頂点における法線を第4法線とし、第1法線と第2法線と第3法線と第4法線とについて、結像光学素子から外部に向かう方向を正方向とするとき、第1法線の正の方向と第3法線の正の方向とのなす角度αは鋭角であり、第2法線の正の方向と第4法線の正の方向とのなす角度 は鋭角である。【選択図】図6
