Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid residence device and an oil separator which can prevent splash of liquid from attaching to a sensor, when the level of the liquid is below the sensor in a drain tank.SOLUTION: An oil separator 60 includes a drain tank 61 in which oil separated from CNG accumulates, a sensor 70 which detects a vertical position of a liquid level in the drain tank 61, and a flange part 83 provided in a vertical position in a drain tank 61 between the sensor 70 and a bottom wall 612 of the drain tank 61. 【課題】ドレーンタンク内で液面がセンサよりも下方に位置するときに、同液体の飛沫の同センサへの付着を抑制することができる液体滞留装置及びオイルセパレータを提供する。【解決手段】オイルセパレータ６０は、ＣＮＧから分離されたオイルが溜まるドレーンタンク６１と、ドレーンタンク６１内の液面の上下方向位置を検出するセンサ７０と、ドレーンタンク６１内においてセンサ７０とドレーンタンク６１の底壁６１２との間となる上下方向位置に設けられる鍔部８３と、を備えている。【選択図】図４
