PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which has good color developing property and is excellent in water resistance, plasticizer resistance of an image part and heat resistance of a white paper part.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermosensitive recording medium in which a thermosensitive recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting color developing agent is provided on a support. The thermosensitive recording layer contains a specific urea-based compound and a diphenyl sulfone-crosslinked compound as the electron-accepting color developing agent and further contains a carboxyl group-containing resin, an epichlorohydrin-based resin and a polyamine-polyamide resin, or a protective layer is preferably provided on the thermosensitive recording layer. 【課題】本発明は、発色性能が良好であり、耐水性、画像部の耐可塑剤性、白紙部の耐熱性に優れる感熱記録体を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】支持体上に、無色ないし淡色の電子供与性ロイコ染料及び電子受容性顕色剤を含有する感熱記録層を設けた感熱記録体において、該感熱記録層が、電子受容性顕色剤として特定のウレア系化合物及びジフェニルスルホン架橋型化合物を含有することを特徴とする感熱記録体。感熱記録層に、更にカルボキシル基含有樹脂とエピクロロヒドリン系樹脂とポリアミン／ポリアミド系樹脂とを含有する、あるいは感熱記録層上に保護層を設けることが好ましい。【選択図】 なし
