Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a reflective layer forming method which allows for forming a reflective layer on lens surfaces while avoiding vapor deposition on non-lens surfaces as much as possible; and a method of manufacturing a reflective screen.SOLUTION: A reflective layer forming method involves forming a reflective layer 12 by vapor-depositing a light-reflective material on lens surfaces 13b of a Fresnel lens sheet 13 having a Fresnel lens pattern formed thereon and comprising a plurality of arrayed unit lenses 13a, each having a lens surface 13b and a non-lens surface 13c. Viewing from a normal direction of a sheet surface of the Fresnel lens sheet 13, the vapor deposition of the light-reflective material is done by arranging vapor deposition sources 62 outside a circumferential edge of the Fresnel lens sheet 13. 【課題】非レンズ面への蒸着を極力抑制してレンズ面に反射層を形成することができる反射層の形成方法、反射型スクリーンの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】反射層の形成方法は、レンズ面13b及び非レンズ面13cを有した単位レンズ13aが複数配列されたフレネルレンズ形状が形成されたフレネルレンズシート13のレンズ面13bに、光反射性材料を蒸着させて反射層12を形成する方法であって、フレネルレンズシート13のシート面の法線方向から見て、フレネルレンズシート13の外周縁よりも外側に蒸着源62を配置して光反射性材料を蒸着させることを特徴とする。【選択図】図6
