PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is excellent in visibility by separating a desired conveyance path when the jam of a recording material occurs.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a secondary transfer unit 110 supported so as to be movable within a predetermined range with respect to an outer cover 101, and configured to form a part of a first conveyance path 11; and a conveyance unit 120 supported so as to be rotatable within a predetermined range with respect to the outer cover 101, and configured to form a part of the first conveyance path 11 and a part of a duplex conveyance path 603. A part of the first conveyance path 11 for conveying a recording materials S to a secondary transfer nip part N2 is released in a state that the outer cover 101 and the conveyance unit 120 are integrally opened, and the conveyance unit 120 is rotated with respect to the outer cover 101 such that a part of the duplex conveyance path 603 is released in a state that the outer cover 101 is opened. 【課題】 本発明は、記録材のジャムが発生した際に所望の搬送経路を離間して視認性が良い画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】 外装カバー101に対して所定の範囲内で移動可能に支持されると共に第一搬送経路11の一部を形成する二次転写ユニット110と、外装カバー101に対して所定の範囲内で回動可能に支持され、第一搬送経路11の一部と、両面搬送経路603の一部とを形成する搬送ユニット120と、を有し、外装カバー101と搬送ユニット120とを一体的に開いた状態で二次転写ニップ部Ｎ２へ記録材Ｓを搬送する第一搬送経路11の一部が開放され、外装カバー101を開いた状態で外装カバー101に対して搬送ユニット120を回動することにより両面搬送経路603の一部が開放されることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図２
