Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble an air maintenance mechanism into a pneumatic tire.SOLUTION: An air maintenance tire and a pump assembly include: an air flow passage which is so operated as to open and close every segment when curved regions of a tire and a side wall 12 pass near a tread of the rolling tire so as to feed air along the air flow passage; an air inlet port assembly 28 for introducing inflow air from the outside of the tire at an inflow air confluence point 38; a pair of inline valves 62, 64 which communicate with the inlet port assembly, and selectively open in a direction opposite to each other, thereby feeding inflow air flow from an upstream side to a downstream side and introducing the flow into the air flow passage; a pair of outlet valves 66, 68 each of which communicates with the downstream side of each inline valve, and selectively introduces the inflow air flow into a tire cavity 26 from the downstream side of each inline valve; and a high pressure shutoff valve 600 for preventing an excessive expansion state in the tire cavity. 【課題】空気維持機構を空気入りタイヤ内に組み込む。【解決手段】空気維持タイヤおよびポンプ組立体は、タイヤ、サイドウォール12の湾曲する領域が転動するタイヤの踏面の近傍を通過して空気を空気流路に沿って送る際に、セグメントごとに開閉するように動作する空気流路と、流入空気流路合流点38のところで、タイヤの外部からの流入空気を空気流路内に導く空気入口ポート組立体28と、入口ポート組立体と連通する一対のインライン弁62,64であって、互いに反対の向きにそれぞれ選択的に開いて、流入空気流を上流側から下流側に送り、空気流路に流入させる一対のインライン弁と、各々が各インライン弁の下流側と連通し、選択的に流入空気流を各インライン弁の下流側からタイヤキャビティ26に導く一対の出口弁66,68と、タイヤキャビティにおける過度の膨張状態を防ぐための高圧遮断弁600と、を備える。【選択図】図6
