Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for a secondary battery electrode, capable of providing a secondary battery electrode excellent in flexibility, and further capable of providing a secondary battery excellent in battery characteristics.SOLUTION: A binder resin for a secondary battery electrode contains a polymer (A) including a vinyl cyanide unit, and a polyolefin resin (B) and/or a paraffin resin (C). The binder resin for a secondary battery electrode can be obtained by polymerizing a monomer (a) including a vinyl cyanide unit under the presence of a polyolefin resin (B) and/or a paraffin resin (C). 【課題】柔軟性に優れる二次電池用電極を提供し、さらには電池特性に優れる二次電池を提供することができる二次電池電極用バインダ樹脂を提供する。【解決手段】シアン化ビニル単位を含む重合体(A)及びポリオレフィン樹脂(B)及び/またはパラフィン樹脂(C)を含有する二次電池電極用バインダ樹脂。ポリオレフィン樹脂(B)及び/またはパラフィン樹脂(C)の存在下でシアン化ビニル単位を含む単量体(a)を重合することで得られる二次電池電極用バインダ樹脂。【選択図】なし
