Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for reinforcing a pile head of a steel pipe pile, which can contribute to resource saving and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A method of constructing a steel pipe pile includes an excavation step for excavating the ground, an injection step for injecting a cement-based injection material into the ground, a steel pipe arrangement step for arranging a steel pipe in a region excavated by the excavation step, and an insertion step for inserting a steel-made reinforcement pipe extendable in a prescribed distance not reaching a pile distal end in a region into which the injection material is injected from an end on the pile head side to the pile distal end after the injection step and before the injected injection material is solidified. In the insertion step, the reinforcement pipe which is hollow and has both ends opened is inserted so as to have a positional relation in which the steel pipe is inserted in the inside of the reinforcement pipe. 【課題】 資源化および低コスト化に資する、鋼管杭の杭頭部分を補強するための施工方法を提供する。【解決手段】 鋼管杭の施工方法は、地盤を掘削する掘削工程と、セメント系の注入材を地中に注入する注入工程と、掘削工程によって掘削された領域内に鋼管を配置する鋼管配置工程と、注入工程の後であって、注入された注入材が固化する前に、杭頭側の端部から杭先端に向けて、杭先端には至らない所定の距離だけ延びる鋼製の補強管を注入材が注入された領域に挿入する挿入工程とを備える。挿入工程では、補強管の内部に鋼管が挿入された位置関係となるように、中空かつ両端が開口した補強管が挿入される。【選択図】図1
