PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-resistant article that can be used (as a building material) and that has fire resistance, heat resistance and lightweight properties.SOLUTION: A fire-resistant article includes a core material (1) and a fire-resistant layer (2) made of a polyisocyanurate resin. Preferably, the core material (1) is glued laminated wood, and the polyisocyanurate resin of the fire-resistant layer (2) is a resin that is obtained by turning polyisocyanurate into isocyanurate in the absence or presence of a compound with isocyanate-reactive active hydrogen. Preferably, a surface layer (3) is provided on the outside of the fire-resistant layer (2). 【課題】（建築材料として）使用できる、耐火性、耐熱性、軽量性を有する耐火性物品を提供する。【解決手段】耐火性物品が、（１）芯材、および（２）ポリイソシアヌレート樹脂からなる耐火層を有する。芯材（１）が集成材であり、耐火層（２）におけるポリイソシアヌレート樹脂が、イソシアネート反応性活性水素を有する化合物の不存在下または存在下で、ポリイソシアネートをイソシアヌレート化して得られた樹脂であることが好ましい。耐火層（２）の外側に、（３）表面層を有することが好ましい。【選択図】図１
