PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten data processing apparatus configured to change the size of an area on a paper medium to be included in a base image of an image file to be created.SOLUTION: A paper medium is mounted on a read device. A line drawing is drawn on the paper medium with an electronic pen. A CPU of a smartphone acquires a format of the paper medium from the read device. The CPU acquires stroke data specifying the line drawing drawn on the paper medium, from the read device. The CPU determines, on the basis of the acquired format, whether the whole of the paper medium with the line drawing drawn thereon is used for an area including at least the line drawing specified by the acquired stroke data and to be included in a base image of the image file, or only the vicinity of the line drawing is used (S61, S63). The CPU creates a first file or a second file as an image file of the image including the determined area (S69, S71). 【課題】作成する画像ファイルの基となる画像に含める紙媒体上の領域の大きさを切り替えることが可能な筆記データ処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】読取装置に紙媒体が装着され、電子ペンで紙媒体に線画が筆記される。スマートフォンのＣＰＵは、紙媒体のフォーマットを、読取装置から取得する。ＣＰＵは、紙媒体に筆記された線画を特定可能なストロークデータを、読取装置から取得する。ＣＰＵは、取得されたストロークデータによって特定される線画を少なくとも含む領域であって画像ファイルの基となる画像に含める領域を、線画が筆記された紙媒体全体とするか、線画の近傍のみとするかを、取得されたフォーマットに基づいて判断する（Ｓ６１、Ｓ６３）。ＣＰＵは、判断された領域を含む画像の画像ファイルとして、第１ファイル又は第２ファイルを作成する（Ｓ６９、Ｓ７１）。【選択図】図１０
