PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an easy occurrence of a fraud of fraudulently passing through a gate in a bicycle rental system.SOLUTION: The bicycle rental system includes: an inside gate that regulates or permits passage of a bicycle between a bicycle passage and a bicycle storage space; an outside gate that regulates or permits passage of a bicycle between the bicycle passage and the outside of the bicycle storage space; a user information input part that is disposed between the inside gate and the outside gate and receives an input of information for identifying a user; an IC chip reading part that is disposed between the inside gate and the outside gate and reads information for identifying a bicycle from an IC chip mounted on the bicycle passing through the bicycle passage; and a control part that receives an input of information for identifying a user via the user information input part and performs bicycle lending processing by reading information for identifying a bicycle by the IC chip reading part. 【課題】自転車レンタルシステムにおいてゲート通過の不正を起こりにくくする。【解決手段】自転車レンタルシステムは、自転車通路と自転車収容スペースとの間の自転車の通過を規制状態又は許可状態とする内側ゲートと、自転車通路と自転車収容スペースの外側との間の自転車の通過を規制状態又は許可状態とする外側ゲートと、内側ゲートと外側ゲートとの間に配置され、利用者を特定する情報の入力を受付ける利用者情報入力部と、内側ゲートと外側ゲートとの間に配置され、自転車通路を通過する自転車に搭載されたＩＣチップから当該自転車を特定する情報を読取るＩＣチップ読取り部と、利用者情報入力部を介して利用者を特定する情報の入力を受付け、ＩＣチップ読取り部によって自転車を特定する情報を読取ることにより、自転車貸出処理を行う制御部と、を具備する。【選択図】図１
